Finlayson Consulting assists corporate, community or charitable philanthropic organizations in achieving their goals. Marc Finlayson and Mickie Stroud have over 20 years combined experience working with philanthropic foundations. Marc Finlayson was executive director of the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation in North Carolina for twelve years, overseeing grant-making decisions by the company’s six operating regions and providing financial accountability to the corporate foundation offices. He currently serves on the board of the New Bern Community Foundation. Ms. Stroud served as the grant administrator and assistant to the board of directors of the Harold H. Bate Foundation between 2000 and 2005 before joining Finlayson Consulting. She currently serves as executive secretary of the CarolinaEast Foundation.

Whatever the size of the philanthropy, Finlayson Consulting will provide advice and direction for grant-making decisions that meet the organization’s mission and vision. Finlayson Consulting can also provide the financial record keeping, fiduciary accountability and tax compliance necessary to operate a successful philanthropic organization.

Finlayson Consulting believes in investing in the communities in which it operates. Making charitable contributions of its own, serving on philanthropic boards and working on behalf of worthwhile philanthropic organizations are ways in which Finlayson Consulting fulfills its own vision of corporate service.
